The Howard-Winneshiek CSD believes that students need to be engaged, supported, challenged and prepared for a global future. This is accomplished through collaborative, continuous improvement processes among teachers and administration.
Through a continuous improvement process each subject area is reviewed and improvements are made in all of its aspects on an annual cycle. The data driven phases of this process drive instructional practices, assessment, and professional development.
Through a combination of the district level, school level, and grade/department level collaboration and accountability for student learning, the district provides high levels of student, teacher, and administrative growth.
