Coronavirus (COVID-19)

UPDATED 4-17-2020

During today's April 17th news conference Gov. Reynolds has ordered all of Iowa's schools to be closed for the remainder of the school year and all extracurricular activities are cancelled.  More information to follow as soon as available about other end of the year events and retrieving items from classrooms and lockers.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Following the guidelines from Governor Reynold's April 6, 2020 news conference all Howard-Winneshiek Community Schools outdoor athletic facilities and playgrounds are closed until further notice.

Dollars for Scholars Update


Dollars for Scholars awards night scheduled for May 6, 2020, is canceled due to the current pandemic.

For donors whose scholarship is not affiliated with Dollars for Scholars, you will be responsible for publicizing the award on your own.


Quick Reminder:

Delivery and Pickup of meals will be 

WEDNESDAY ONLY

Until further notice.

Each Student will receive 5 days worth of Breakfast and Lunch

at this time

 

PICKUP TIME: 11:30 - 1:00 PM in Cresco

11:30 -12:30 PM in Elma, Lime Springs and Chester

 

We will continue to hand out meals throughout the rest of the summer or if something changes concerning the shutdown. 

 

COVID-19 MEAL APPLICATION SURVEY

 

 

During the school closure, we are committed to providing free meals to our students. The District, through the Nutrition Services and Transportation Departments, are establishing drive-through or walk-up meal pick-up locations at a number of sites. Meal service will begin Monday, March 23rd. Students will be provided lunch for the day and breakfast for the following day.
